A narrative editing exercise that brings together Salym Fayad's archival footage and memories from his reporting visit to the Central African Republic in 2014, amidst the crisis triggered by the coup against François Bozizé.
The outcome: A portrait of interrupted dialogue, a testimony of the dismay and resilience of citizens facing enemies as familiar as they are unexpected.
The documentary gathers the voice of exile and advocates for the right to return. To return to a land, but also to the innocence of a shared past.
